- SUGGESTED USAGE: As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 1 to 3 times daily with or without meals.
General Statements
- L-Carnitine is similar in structure to amino acids and is abundant in heart, muscle and liver tissues. It helps to maintain overall good health by facilitating the transfer of long-chain fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane for cellular energy production. It naturally occurs in red meat and other animal source foods, but practitioners recommend supplementation to obtain optimal levels of this excellent amino acid.
- Guaranteed Quality This is an FDA-regulated dietary supplement that is produced in an FDA- and third party-inspected facility. We are certified for producing dietary supplements and USDA Organic products using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). All ingredients are quality tested to meet or exceed specifications. Our quality team goes above and beyond standard quality control to ensure the safety and efficacy of this supplement. We utilize advanced analytical and microbiological testing methods, with capabilities that are state-of-the-art and exceed basic lab requirements.

- Carnitine is classified as an amino acid, although it is not used by the body for protein synthesis or as a neurotransmitter. Carnitine is a nutrient responsible for the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the energy-producing centers of the cells (the mitochondira). Carnitine helps the body convert fatty acids into energy, which is used mostly for muscular activities throughout the body. The body produces Carnitine in the liver and kidneys and stores it in the skeletal muscles, heart, and brain. This process provides muscular energy by burning fat, and also prevents fatty build-up around vital organs. Muscle cells that use the most energy, particularly the heart, can benefit by having adequate carnitine levels.

Some people may have an increased need for dietary Carnitine due to high-fat diets, certain medications, genetic predisposition, and low dietary levels of the precursor amino acids lysine and methionine.
