What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: lemon vervain powder. Lemon vervain (also called verbena) is an herb traditionally used for digestive and respiratory support, though the strength of evidence behind those uses varies.
The powder form allows you to mix it into water, tea, or other beverages.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence behind lemon vervain for hay fever, anxiety, respiratory infections, high blood pressure, and kidney stones is currently insufficient—we don't have enough reliable data to rate whether it works for these purposes. If you're thinking about it for one of these reasons, talk with your doctor about whether there's a better-studied option available.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lemon as a food or drink is generally well tolerated in the amounts you'd find in normal eating and drinking. In this powder form, you're getting a larger medicinal amount, and safety data on that level hasn't been thoroughly studied.
The main side effect to know about is gastrointestinal upset: in one trial, fresh lemon juice at higher doses caused heartburn in about one in five users and stomach pain in a smaller number, compared to much lower rates in a placebo group. If you have reflux or a sensitive stomach, start with a small amount and see how you feel.
Meds to double-check
Minor interactions only
If you take itraconazole (Sporanox), an antifungal medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. It may increase itraconazole levels in your blood.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Only minor medication interactions are documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Lemon Vervain Powder is generally well tolerated, but it's not a proven remedy for any specific condition based on current evidence. The main practical concern is one drug interaction with itraconazole.
Before you start, check with your doctor or pharmacist about your medications—especially if you're on an antifungal—and about whether this powder is right for your stomach.

In one case report, dissolving itraconazole tablets in a small amount of specific beverages containing lemon prior to administration increased the level of itraconazole in a lung transplant patient. In this case, the increased bioavailability was desirable and was likely due to improved tablet dissolution in the acidic beverage.
