HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Lipo Trans-Resveratrol by Renue By Science
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: trans-resveratrol, a plant compound. The capsule also holds cellulose, sunflower lecithin, rice flour, and microcrystalline cellulose as inactive ingredients—these are fillers and binders that help form and hold the capsule together.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for resveratrol is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for obesity and hay fever (allergic rhinitis), meaning some research supports it but more work is needed.
For heart disease and high cholesterol, the data suggests it's possibly ineffective—meaning studies haven't shown a clear benefit. The strength of evidence in our data is not strong for any of these uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Resveratrol from food sources is well tolerated. When taken by mouth in higher supplement doses, it's generally well tolerated, though some people experience digestive issues like diarrhea, loose stools, or stomach discomfort.
A few cases have reported headache, fatigue, a skin rash, or allergic reactions, but these are rare. High-dose, long-term safety hasn't been fully studied.
For pregnancy, there isn't enough safety data on concentrated supplements to know either way—talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice. The same goes for breastfeeding: the safety data is insufficient, so check with your healthcare provider before using this product if you're nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your pharmacist before using this if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or aspirin—resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also double-check any medications your liver breaks down, especially those processed by CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, or CYP2E1 enzymes, since resveratrol may raise their levels.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Resveratrol may work for obesity and hay fever, though the evidence is modest. If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, or medications broken down by your liver, you need to check with your pharmacist first—this supplement could interact with them.

Lipo Trans-Resveratrol by Renue By Science Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Lipo Trans-Resveratrol by Renue By Science is a single-ingredient supplement that does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin): resveratrol appears to have blood-thinning effects itself, and combining it with these medications may increase your bleeding risk.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Resveratrol may also affect how your body metabolizes drugs broken down by several liver enzymes (CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1). Lab studies suggest it could raise levels of medications processed through these pathways, potentially making them stronger.
That said, a clinical trial showed that even a high dose of resveratrol—3,000 mg daily for 8 weeks—didn't require dose adjustments to CYP3A4 drugs. Still, the interaction remains theoretically possible, and human research on the other enzyme pathways is limited.
Altogether, these interactions span 812 individual medications. Before you start this supplement, run your exact prescriptions through the checker on this page.

Trans-Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
