What’s inside
Full disclosure
This softgel contains two active ingredients. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin your body stores in fat tissue and uses for vision, immune function, and skin health.
Shark liver oil is derived from shark liver and contains compounds like squalene, though evidence for its health benefits is not yet well established. The softgels also contain gelatin and glycerin as inactive ingredients to hold the formula together and improve absorption.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Vitamin A is effective for treating vitamin A deficiency and shows possibly effective evidence for oral leukoplakia, aging skin, measles, ulcerative colitis, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Shark liver oil, however, has insufficient evidence to rate it for any of the conditions studied—cancer, common cold, influenza, chemotherapy-related effects, and radiation-induced nausea have not been reliably established.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Vitamin A is generally well tolerated at recommended doses, but here's the catch: it's fat-soluble, so it builds up in your body over time and can become toxic in high doses. Very high doses can cause liver damage, headaches, blurred vision, skin problems, and in rare cases, serious neurological effects.
Shark liver oil is generally tolerated short-term, but human safety data is limited and product quality varies; a case of severe liver inflammation has been reported, and high doses may raise cholesterol and increase the risk of a rare type of pneumonia from aspiration. For pregnancy and lactation: vitamin A safety data are mixed—normal dietary amounts and recommended supplement doses are appropriate, but high-dose vitamin A (especially as retinol) is possibly unsafe in pregnancy because it may cause birth defects.
There isn't enough safety data for shark liver oil in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, so those are best avoided during those times. Talk with your OB or pharmacist if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check if you use retinoid acne or anti-aging medications (tretinoin, isotretinoin)—that's a Major concern. Also flag blood thinners like warfarin, tetracycline antibiotics, and any medications that can affect your liver.
These Moderate interactions mean your dose and timing matter.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is reasonable for someone looking to supplement vitamin A at moderate doses, but not if you take retinoid medications, blood thinners, or tetracycline antibiotics without checking first. The shark liver oil component has unproven benefits and limited safety data.
If you're pregnant, nursing, or have liver disease, ask your pharmacist before starting.

Omega 3, 6 & 9 by Omojo Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Omojo's Omega 3, 6 & 9 contains vitamin A, which does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is retinoids (vitamin A derivatives like tretinoin and isotretinoin)—taking them together can push vitamin A levels dangerously high and cause additive toxic effects. This is a Major severity interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Vitamin A also has Moderate interactions with blood thinners like warfarin (there's a theoretical risk of increased bleeding at high doses), tetracycline antibiotics (a risk of increased intracranial pressure), and drugs that stress the liver (hepatotoxic drugs). The product's other ingredient, shark liver oil, has no documented interactions in our data.
Altogether, these interactions span 371 individual medications. Before you start this product, use the medication checker below to verify your exact prescriptions—especially if you take any form of vitamin A derivative, blood thinners, tetracyclines, or medications that affect the liver.

For each ingredient in Omega 3, 6 & 9 with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Vitamin A
Retinoids
Concomitant use of retinoids with vitamin A supplements might produce supratherapeutic vitamin A levels.
Retinoids, which are vitamin A derivatives, could have additive toxic effects when taken with vitamin A supplements.
Hepatotoxic Drugs
Theoretically, taking high doses of vitamin A in combination with other potentially hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver disease.
The tolerable upper intake level (UL) is the highest level of intake that is likely to pose no risk of adverse effects. Doses of vitamin A above the UL can cause hepatotoxicity, ranging from elevated liver enzymes to liver failure.
Tetracycline Antibiotics
Theoretically, taking tetracycline antibiotics with high doses of vitamin A can increase the risk of pseudotumor cerebri.
Benign intracranial hypertension (pseudotumor cerebri) can occur with tetracyclines and with acute or chronic vitamin A toxicity. Case reports suggest that taking tetracyclines and vitamin A concurrently can increase the risk of this condition. Avoid high doses of vitamin A in people taking tetracyclines chronically.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, high doses of vitamin A could increase the risk of bleeding with warfarin.
Vitamin A toxicity is associated with hemorrhage and hypoprothrombinemia, possibly due to vitamin K antagonism. Advise patients taking warfarin to avoid doses of vitamin A above the tolerable upper intake level of 10,000 IU/day for adults.
