How safe is it?

Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated in studies, but long-term safety data is limited. The most common side effects are flatulence, gastrointestinal upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea.
Insomnia is more likely at higher doses like 600 mg, and gastrointestinal upset can occur at doses around 200–300 mg per day. There isn't enough safety information to recommend use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
