ProstaPower Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking ProstaPower against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of ProstaPower by Physician's Strength
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
ProstaPower contains five active ingredients. Two are oregano (Oregano Oil Powder, Wild, and Wild high mountain Oregano), plus Rosemary Powder (Wild), Pumpkin Seed Oil Powder, and Hypericum, Wild.
The product also contains Pullulan as an inactive ingredient (a capsule material and binder). Oregano and rosemary are culinary herbs studied for various health purposes; pumpkin seed is traditionally used for prostate and urinary tract support.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these ingredients varies. Pumpkin seed shows possibly effective ratings for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the enlarged prostate condition many men experience with age.
Rosemary is rated possibly effective for memory. The oregano forms and Hypericum lack established evidence in our data—we hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate them for the conditions studied.
This doesn't mean they don't work; it means the research isn't settled yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Oregano and rosemary are well tolerated in food amounts, but these are concentrated supplement forms, which are less studied. The most common side effect from oregano is mild gastrointestinal upset.
Rosemary can occasionally cause allergic reactions (contact dermatitis topically, or rarely occupational asthma when inhaled). Both herbs may rarely trigger serious allergic reactions in sensitive people.
Pumpkin seed is generally well tolerated orally, with occasional mild stomach discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea reported in trials. For pregnancy: avoid oregano and rosemary in medicinal or supplement doses—food amounts are likely fine.
Safety data on pumpkin seed supplements in pregnancy is insufficient; food amounts are okay, but talk to your doctor before taking the concentrated supplement. For breastfeeding: food amounts of oregano and rosemary are likely fine, but supplement amounts aren't well studied.
Pumpkin seed supplement safety while breastfeeding is also not well established. We hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding data for Hypericum.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check before taking this if you use blood thinners (anticoagulants), antiplatelet drugs like clopidogrel or aspirin, diabetes medications, lithium, or salicylate-containing pain relievers like choline magnesium trisalicylate or salsalate. We couldn't check Hypericum against any medications because we hold no data for it.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, diabetes medications, or lithium, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting this product—the interactions are real and could affect how your medications work. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your provider about the supplement forms.
Otherwise, it's generally well tolerated, especially if you have no relevant medications.

ProstaPower by Physician's Strength Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
ProstaPower by Physician's Strength contains oregano and rosemary, both of which interact with a number of medications.
The most serious documented interactions are Moderate in severity.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Oregano (in two forms) may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel) because it may slow clotting. It can also theoretically lower blood sugar when you're taking diabetes medications, raising the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Rosemary adds several more concerns. Like oregano, it may increase bleeding with anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs, and it may increase hypoglycemia risk with diabetes medications.
Rosemary also contains salicylates (compounds similar to those in aspirin), so it could have additive effects if you take aspirin or other salicylate-containing pain relievers. Finally, rosemary may slightly weaken certain medications (CYP1A2 substrates), though this is a Minor interaction and hasn't been proven in humans.
Pumpkin seed oil interacts with lithium (used for bipolar disorder), potentially raising lithium levels to unsafe amounts.
We couldn't check one ingredient—Hypericum, Wild—because we hold no data for it. Altogether, these interactions span 372 individual medications.

Rosemary, Powder, Wild
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, rosemary may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that rosemary inhibits platelet aggregation.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking rosemary with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research shows that rosemary extract can decrease blood glucose levels in diabetic models. However, research in humans is conflicting. Although rosemary powder decreased blood glucose levels in healthy adults, no change in blood glucose levels was seen in adults with type 2 diabetes, most of whom were taking antidiabetes drugs.
Aspirin
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as aspirin.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylates.
Choline Magnesium Trisalicylate (Trilisate)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as choline magnesium trisalicylate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Salsalate (Disalcid)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as salsalate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, rosemary might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that rosemary induces CYP1A2 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Oregano Oil, Powder, Wild
