Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketone at 500 mg per capsule. Raspberry ketone is a natural compound found in red raspberries; it's the ingredient responsible for the fruit's aroma and is also used as a flavoring in foods.
The capsule itself is made from vegetarian plant material.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for raspberry ketone's effectiveness isn't established in our data. It's been studied for alopecia areata (a type of hair loss) and obesity, but in both cases we hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate whether it actually works.
If you're considering it for either of these uses, talk with your doctor about what the current evidence shows and whether it's right for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Raspberry ketone is used safely in foods, but human safety data for the high doses in supplements is very limited. In case reports, a small number of people taking this supplement have reported heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, and in one severe case, a serious arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat).
Others reported sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness. Because safety data in high doses is sparse, avoid this product during pregnancy and while breastfeeding — there isn't enough information to know whether it's safe at those times.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take stimulant drugs (decongestants, ADHD medications, or certain diet aids), be aware of a moderate risk of increased heart palpitations and elevated blood pressure. Also check with your pharmacist if you take warfarin or other blood thinners — raspberry ketone may reduce their effectiveness.
Your doctor or pharmacist can review your full medication list against this product before you start.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Raspberry Ketones may be worth considering if you're interested in its potential for hair loss or weight management, but the evidence for either use isn't solid. The bigger concern is safety: if you take stimulant medications, blood thinners like warfarin, or have heart concerns, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Given the limited safety data and reported cardiac side effects in some users, it's not a product to add without a conversation first.

Raspberry Ketones 500 mg by WiseLife Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Raspberry Ketones by WiseLife has documented interactions with stimulant drugs and warfarin through its single active ingredient.
The most serious concern is a moderate-severity risk with stimulant medications — because raspberry ketone is chemically similar to synephrine (a stimulant), it may increase your risk of heart palpitations, high blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat when combined with stimulants.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Raspberry ketone also carries a moderate interaction with warfarin, a blood thinner. One case report showed a patient needed a higher warfarin dose to maintain adequate blood-thinning while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily — meaning this supplement might reduce how well warfarin works.
Altogether, these interactions span 174 individual medications.
If you take a stimulant medication (such as decongestants, some ADHD drugs, or certain weight-loss aids) or warfarin, check your exact medications with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this product.

Raspberry Ketones
Stimulant Drugs
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.
