What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketones, a naturally occurring compound extracted from raspberries. There are no other active ingredients.
The powder form contains no listed inactive ingredients like fillers or binders.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for raspberry ketones isn't established in the data we hold. For both alopecia areata (a hair-loss condition) and obesity, the effectiveness rating is insufficient reliable evidence to rate—meaning the research to date hasn't provided clear proof that it works for these uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Raspberry ketones are used in foods at low levels without safety concerns, but human safety data for the high doses found in supplements is very limited. The safety notes advise against use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding due to insufficient safety information.
Because raspberry ketone structurally resembles the stimulant synephrine, stimulant-related side effects are possible, though not well studied in humans. Case reports describe heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, and in rare cases, serious heart rhythm disturbances.
Other reported effects include sweating, diarrhea, and feelings of shakiness.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking raspberry ketones if you use stimulant drugs—the risk of serious heart problems is Moderate. Also double-check if you take warfarin or other blood thinners, as this product may reduce their effectiveness and require a dose adjustment.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Raspberry ketones may appeal to anyone interested in hair loss or weight management, but the evidence for either use isn't established. More importantly, if you take stimulant medications or warfarin, this product poses documented risks—talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting it.
If you take any prescription medication at all, check it against the search tool on this page first.

HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Raspberry Ketones by BulkSupplements.com interacts with stimulant drugs and warfarin through its single active ingredient.
The most serious concern is with stimulant medications—because raspberry ketone resembles synephrine (a known stimulant), it may increase the risk of serious heart problems including palpitations, high blood pressure, and dangerous heart rhythms.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
With warfarin (a blood thinner), raspberry ketone appears to reduce how well the drug works. One case report documented a patient needing a significant warfarin dose increase to maintain proper blood thinning while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily.
If you take warfarin, this product could require your doctor to adjust your dose.
Although stimulant-related side effects haven't been well studied in humans, case reports describe heart palpitations, elevated heart rate, high blood pressure, and in one serious case, a dangerous arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) that required emergency treatment. Altogether, these interactions span 174 individual medications.

Raspberry Ketones
Stimulant Drugs
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.
