This supplement contains one active ingredient: L-glutathione, an antioxidant your body produces naturally. It's the only agent in the capsule; the other ingredients are hypoallergenic plant fiber and the vegetarian capsule shell itself, which help deliver the active compound.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence is mixed. L-glutathione is possibly effective for reducing nerve damage (neurotoxicity) caused by the chemotherapy drug cisplatin.
For nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and cataracts, the evidence isn't strong enough yet to rate it — we simply don't have enough reliable data to know whether it works for those uses.

Oral glutathione appears generally well tolerated in the short term, but long-term safety hasn't been fully studied. One important caution: if you have asthma and inhale nebulized glutathione, it can narrow your airways and cause shortness of breath or cough — this product is a capsule, so you won't be inhaling it, but that's worth knowing if you ever consider other forms.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding, there isn't enough reliable safety data. The facts advise against use during both unless your doctor specifically recommends it.
