What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: resveratrol 50 mg per softgel. Resveratrol is a plant compound found naturally in grapes and berries.
The softgel itself is made from gelatin, soybean oil, vegetable glycerin, soy lecithin, yellow beeswax, natural caramel color, and silica — these are inactive ingredients that form and preserve the capsule.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence on resveratrol is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for obesity and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), meaning there's some promising research but we need more to be sure.
For cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol, the evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective — the studies we have don't show meaningful benefit. Keep in mind these are supplement doses; the strength of evidence varies and isn't the same as prescription-strength proof.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses. At higher doses, some people experience digestive upset — diarrhea, gastrointestinal discomfort, or loose stools are the most common side effects.
There's also one reported case of a rash that went away after stopping it, and rare reports of headache and fatigue in dialysis patients, though a direct link wasn't proven. Long-term safety at high doses isn't fully established.
During pregnancy, there isn't enough safety information on concentrated supplements like this one — the facts advise against use. The same goes for breastfeeding.
If you're pregnant or nursing and interested in resveratrol, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check before starting if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel — resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also verify any medications broken down by your liver's CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, or CYP2E1 enzymes; resveratrol could raise their levels.
Use the medication checker on this page to confirm your exact prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Resveratrol may help with weight management or seasonal allergies, but the evidence is still emerging. If you take blood thinners, blood pressure medications, or other prescription drugs, check with us before starting — resveratrol can affect how your body handles many medications.

Resveratrol 50 mg by Foster Regal Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Foster Regal's Resveratrol 50 mg contains a single active ingredient — resveratrol — which does interact with medications.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (such as warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel). Resveratrol appears to thin the blood itself, and combining it with these medications may raise your bleeding risk.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Resveratrol also theoretically affects how your body breaks down several categories of drugs. In lab studies, it inhibits three major liver enzymes — CYP2C19, CYP1A2, and CYP3A4 — which could raise levels of medications processed by these pathways.
However, these interactions haven't been seen in people at typical supplement doses. One exception: at 500 mg daily for 10 days, resveratrol increased blood levels of chlorzoxazone (a muscle relaxant) by about 54%.
Additionally, resveratrol may affect drugs broken down by CYP2E1.
Altogether, these interactions span 812 individual medications. Before you start this product, check your exact medications using the search tool below — especially if you take any blood thinners or blood pressure drugs.

For each ingredient in Resveratrol 50 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
