HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Royal Jelly by Pure Nootropics
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: royal jelly concentrate that's been freeze-dried to preserve it. Royal jelly is a nutrient-rich secretion made by honeybees, traditionally used in supplements for various health claims.
The capsule also contains three inactive ingredients—cellulose, rice flour, and magnesium stearate—which are standard binders and fillers.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence for royal jelly is mixed. It's possibly effective for menopausal symptoms, but the data for other common uses falls short.
For allergic rhinitis (hay fever), diabetes, and physical performance, it's rated possibly ineffective. Hair loss (androgenic alopecia) has insufficient evidence to rate either way, so we simply don't know if it works for that.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Royal jelly is generally well tolerated in most people, but it carries a serious caveat: if you have asthma or a history of allergies (atopy), it can trigger significant reactions—ranging from itching and hives to difficulty breathing, and in rare cases, life-threatening anaphylaxis or status asthmaticus. There's also one case report of bloody diarrhea and colon inflammation that resolved after stopping the supplement.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, there isn't enough safety information to know whether it's okay; the safety data advises against use.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on warfarin (or other blood thinners) or any medication to lower blood pressure. Royal jelly may increase bleeding risk and could cause blood pressure to drop too far.
No interactions are documented for the inactive ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Royal jelly may be worth considering if you're dealing with menopausal symptoms and have no history of asthma or severe allergies. However, if you take warfarin or blood pressure medication, or if you've had allergic reactions to bee products or have asthma, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
The interaction risk with warfarin is real and documented, and allergic reactions can be serious.

Royal Jelly by Pure Nootropics Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Royal Jelly Concentrate by Pure Nootropics interacts with blood pressure medications and warfarin (a blood thinner).
The most serious concern is with warfarin: royal jelly may increase bleeding risk. One documented case involved an 87-year-old man on stable warfarin who developed blood in his urine and dangerously elevated INR levels after taking royal jelly for just one week.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Royal jelly may also lower blood pressure, which could cause problems if you're already taking medications to reduce it (antihypertensives). Animal studies suggest this effect is real, though human data is limited.
Either way, the risk is that your blood pressure could drop too far, causing dizziness or other issues.
Altogether, these interactions span 174 individual medications. If you take warfarin, any blood pressure medication, or anything else by prescription, use the interaction checker below with your exact drug names before you start.
