The evidence we have doesn't support most of the uses these ingredients are traditionally marketed for. Guava, red raspberry, and blueberry all show insufficient reliable evidence for claims about blood pressure, blood sugar, diarrhea, gum disease, or joint pain.
Saffron is a bit different: it's possibly effective for chemotherapy-related nerve damage and Alzheimer disease. Blueberry is possibly ineffective for high blood pressure.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of these ingredients are generally well tolerated when eaten as whole foods—you can eat guava, raspberries, and blueberries without worry. But this product is a concentrated supplement, and the safety data is weaker.
Guava leaf extract may cause stomach pain or nausea, and contact dermatitis if it touches your skin. Red raspberry leaf is thought to be safe for most adults, though there's limited data overall.
Saffron extract can cause nausea, vomiting, and drowsiness at supplement doses, and there's a rare but serious risk of allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Blueberries are safe as food; freeze-dried blueberry supplements caused gastrointestinal upset in about a quarter of trial participants in one study.
Camu camu lacks sufficient safety data in supplement form. If you're pregnant, avoid saffron and camu camu supplements, as safety isn't established and saffron may stimulate the uterus.
There isn't enough data to know whether red raspberry, guava, or concentrated blueberry extracts are safe in pregnancy—talk with your doctor. For breastfeeding, safety data on high-dose extracts is missing for camu camu and blueberry, and insufficient for red raspberry.

Guava and red raspberry leaf both interact with diabetes medications and insulin. Guava may lower blood sugar further, raising the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia); red raspberry leaf can do the same, and one case report documented this happening after just three days of raspberry leaf tea.
Saffron also affects diabetes drugs the same way. Additionally, red raspberry leaf may increase bleeding risk if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin—this hasn't been seen in humans yet, but the theory is there.
Saffron also pairs with sedating drugs (CNS depressants like sleep aids or opioids) and may add to their drowsy effects. It may slow how your body processes caffeine, potentially making caffeine's jittery effects stronger.
Blueberry has minor interactions with the pain reliever flurbiprofen and the anxiety medication buspirone, though human studies suggest these may not be as significant as animal research implies.

Crocus sativus
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some clinical research shows that taking saffron extract reduces fasting levels of glucose when used in addition to hypoglycemic agents. However, saffron powder itself has not been shown to reduce fasting glucose levels.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects.
Animal and human research suggests that saffron extract can decrease blood pressure.
Caffeine
Theoretically, saffron might inhibit the metabolism of caffeine.
A small clinical study suggests that taking saffron powder 300 mg in 150 mL water daily for 5 days and then taking caffeine 200 mg seems to reduce caffeine metabolite levels in the saliva and urine in males, but not females. Theoretically, this may be due to the inhibition of cytochrome P450 1A2 by saffron.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron and CNS depressants might have additive sedative effects.
Clinical research shows that taking saffron extract 60 mg orally daily for 26 weeks can cause drowsiness and sedation. Animal research suggests that adding saffron to hexobarbital further increases sleeping and slows motor activity.
Rubus idaeus
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, taking red raspberry leaf with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro research suggests that red raspberry leaf extract has antiplatelet activity and enhances the in vitro effects of the antiplatelet medication cangrelor. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Insulin
Red raspberry leaf might reduce glucose levels in patients being treated with insulin.
In one case report, a 38-year-old patient with gestational diabetes, whose blood glucose was being controlled with medical nutrition therapy and insulin, developed hypoglycemia after consuming two servings of raspberry leaf tea daily for 3 days beginning at 32 weeks' gestation. The patient required an insulin dose reduction. The hypoglycemia was considered to be probably related to use of red raspberry leaf tea.
Vaccinium angustifolium
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, blueberries or blueberry leaf extracts might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that blueberry and/or blueberry leaf extracts can lower blood glucose levels.
Buspirone (Buspar)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of buspirone.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of buspirone, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking buspirone hydrochloride 10 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of buspirone.
Flurbiprofen (Ansaid, Others)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of flurbiprofen.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of flurbiprofen, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking flurbiprofen 100 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of flurbiprofen.
Psidium guajava
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use with antidiabetes drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Animal research shows that guava leaf extract or guava fruit can have hypoglycemic effects. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Medication dose adjustments may be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (Diabeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
