Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical jelly containing white petrolatum, a mineral oil-based skin protectant. White petrolatum is commonly used to help protect and moisturize dry or irritated skin and to create a barrier against moisture loss. The product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established rules for skin protectants rather than undergoing individual product review. It is applied directly to the skin as needed.
