Clinical
Carmex Daily Care Moisturizing Lip Balm is a topical salve applied to the lips. It contains two active sunscreen ingredients, octinoxate and oxybenzone, which are typically used to absorb ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun. The product is formulated as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established rules for lip balm sunscreens rather than being individually reviewed. The honey dew melon flavoring is a cosmetic component included for taste and appeal.
