Clinical
Orajel 4X Medicated Toothache and Gum PM Cream is a topical over-the-counter product marketed under FDA's monograph rules for oral pain-relief creams. It contains benzocaine, a local anesthetic typically used to numb minor mouth and gum discomfort. The formulation also includes benzalkonium chloride, which functions as an antimicrobial agent, along with menthol and zinc chloride, which are commonly included in oral care products for their soothing and astringent properties. This cream is applied directly to affected gum and tooth areas.
