Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical ointment containing sulfur, marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rules for acne treatment products. Sulfur is commonly used in skincare products for acne and other skin conditions because it has been traditionally employed to help manage oily skin and mild acne breakouts. The ointment form is applied directly to the skin surface. This product type does not require individual FDA approval and is regulated under established guidelines for OTC acne remedies.
