🩺 Clinical
This is a topical solution containing benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial agent typically used in over-the-counter products for skin and wound care. Benzalkonium chloride functions as a disinfectant and preservative, commonly included in antiseptic preparations, first-aid products, and other topical formulations. This product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows established FDA guidelines for its category rather than undergoing individual product review. The 8.9 mg/mL concentration indicates a relatively dilute solution intended for direct application to skin or affected areas.
