Clinical
This is a topical lotion containing benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial agent commonly used in over-the-counter skin care products. Benzalkonium chloride typically functions as a disinfectant and preservative, intended to reduce bacteria on the skin surface. The product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is regulated under FDA's established rules for its category rather than as an individually approved application. The lotion formula also includes lavender and rosemary, which are fragrance and botanical ingredients often included in massage and topical products.
