Clinical
Mucosan Children's Multi-Symptom is an oral liquid cold and cough product sold over the counter under FDA's OTC monograph rules. It contains dextromethorphan, which is typically used to suppress cough; guaifenesin, an expectorant commonly used to help thin and clear mucus; and phenylephrine, a decongestant typically used to relieve nasal congestion. This combination is meant to address multiple cold symptoms at once.
