🩺 Clinical
Acetaminophen is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever. Acetaminophen is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.
Read the full MedlinePlus article ↗This is an over-the-counter combination kit containing daytime and nighttime cold and flu relief softgels. The daytime product contains acetaminophen (a pain reliever and fever reducer), dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant), and phenylephrine (a nasal decongestant). The nighttime product adds doxylamine succinate, an antihistamine that also promotes drowsiness. Together, the ingredients in each formulation are typically used to temporarily relieve multiple cold and flu symptoms like cough, congestion, aches, and fever.
