Clinical
Healing for Babies Petrolatum is an over-the-counter ointment applied to the skin. It contains petrolatum, a mineral oil-based ingredient commonly used in topical products to help soften and protect the skin. This product is marketed under FDA's monograph rules for skin protectant ointments, which means it follows established safety and ingredient guidelines rather than undergoing individual FDA review.
