Clinical
This is an over-the-counter film-coated tablet taken by mouth, classified under the OTC monograph system for sinus and cold relief products. It combines acetaminophen, which is typically used to reduce fever and relieve pain, with phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant nasal ingredient commonly used to help ease sinus congestion and pressure. Guaifenesin functions as an expectorant, which is typically used to help thin mucus and make it easier to clear from the respiratory tract. The product is intended for daytime use by people seeking to manage multiple sinus symptom complaints at once.
