Clinical
XtraCare Antibacterial Hand Cleanse is an over-the-counter topical soap containing triclosan, an antimicrobial agent. This product is marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rule for antibacterial soaps, meaning it follows established safety and effectiveness guidelines for its category rather than undergoing individual FDA review. Triclosan is typically used in hand-cleaning products to reduce certain bacteria on the skin during washing. The soap is formulated with strawberry pomegranate fragrance.
