Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation is a liquid emulsion applied to the skin that contains octinoxate, an ultraviolet (UV) filter. This product functions as a cosmetic foundation with sun protection properties. Octinoxate is commonly used in sunscreens and tinted foundations to help absorb UVB rays and reduce sun exposure to the skin. As an OTC monograph product, it is marketed under the FDA's established rulebook for over-the-counter sunscreen ingredients rather than as an individually reviewed drug application.
