Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter commonly used in sunscreen products to help protect skin from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This product functions as both a cosmetic foundation and an over-the-counter sunscreen under FDA's OTC monograph rules, meaning it is marketed according to established safety and effectiveness guidelines for its category rather than through individual FDA review.
