Clinical
This is an over-the-counter sunscreen cream containing zinc oxide, a mineral UV filter commonly used to help protect skin from sun damage. The product is applied to the skin and functions as a physical sunscreen, meaning it works by reflecting and scattering ultraviolet rays rather than absorbing them. Zinc oxide is typically chosen for sensitive skin formulations because it tends to cause fewer irritation reactions. This is an OTC monograph product, meaning it follows FDA's established safety and effectiveness standards for sunscreen ingredients rather than being individually reviewed before marketing.
