Clinical
Medicaine Sting and Bite is a topical over-the-counter swab product containing benzocaine, a local anesthetic. Benzocaine is typically used to numb the skin and reduce discomfort from minor stings, bites, and small surface wounds. This product is marketed under the FDA's OTC monograph rules for topical anesthetics rather than as an individually reviewed drug application.
