Clinical
This is a rectal suppository containing 1 gram of glycerin, marketed as an over-the-counter product under FDA's OTC monograph rules. Glycerin suppositories are typically used to help relieve occasional constipation by drawing water into the stool and lubricating the bowel, making bowel movements easier to pass. The suppository form delivers the ingredient directly to the lower intestine for localized effect.
