It contains synthetic camphor, a volatile compound commonly used in respiratory products to produce a cooling sensation in the airways and throat. Camphor vapors are typically used to help open airways and provide temporary comfort during congestion. This product is marketed under the FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for inhalant products in this category.
