It contains benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial agent typically used to reduce bacteria on the skin surface, and lidocaine, a local anesthetic commonly used to numb minor pain and discomfort in the area where it is applied. This combination product is formulated as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established guidelines for topical antiseptic and anesthetic products sold without a prescription.
