Clinical
This is an over-the-counter liquid solution taken by mouth, marketed under federal guidelines for nighttime cold and flu symptom relief. It contains acetaminophen, a pain reliever and fever reducer commonly used in cold medicines. Dextromethorphan is typically included to help suppress cough, while doxylamine is a sedating antihistamine often added to promote sleep. Phenylephrine functions as a decongestant, commonly used to help relieve nasal congestion associated with cold symptoms.
