Clinical
Marine Screen Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 is a topical lotion containing zinc oxide, a mineral ingredient commonly used in sunscreen products to help protect skin from ultraviolet (UV) light. This is an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under FDA guidelines for sunscreen products rather than as an individually approved application. Zinc oxide functions as a physical UV filter that sits on the skin's surface to reflect and scatter UV rays. The product is labeled as broad spectrum SPF 50, indicating it is typically used to help provide protection against both UVA and UVB radiation.
