Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical cream containing zinc oxide as its active ingredient. Zinc oxide is a mineral sunscreen agent that functions as a broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UV) filter, reflecting and scattering both UVA and UVB rays. The product is labeled with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30, indicating it is typically used to help protect skin from sun exposure when applied to the face and exposed skin surfaces. As an OTC monograph product, it is marketed under FDA's established rules for sunscreen drugs rather than as an individually reviewed application.
