Clinical
CeraVe Anti-Dandruff Hydrating Conditioner is a topical liquid conditioner containing pyrithione zinc, an ingredient commonly used in dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis shampoos and conditioners. Pyrithione zinc functions as an antimicrobial and is typically included to help reduce flaking and itching associated with these scalp conditions. This product is marketed as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established safety and effectiveness standards for this class of products rather than undergoing individual application review.
