Clinical
CAO Cosmetic Lip Sunscreen SPF 30 is a topical ointment product that functions as an over-the-counter sunscreen for lip protection. It contains two active ingredients, avobenzone and octocrylene, which are UV filters commonly used in sunscreen products to help absorb and scatter ultraviolet radiation from the sun. This is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under the FDA's established rules for sunscreen products rather than as an individually reviewed new drug application. The product is typically applied to the lips to help protect against sun exposure.
