🩺 Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical liquid containing salicylic acid, marketed as a wart remover. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent, meaning it typically functions to soften and break down keratin, the protein that makes up the outer layer of skin and warts. This product is applied directly to the skin and is categorized as an OTC monograph drug, which means it is sold under FDA's established rules for this category of wart-removal products rather than as an individually approved application.
