Clinical
This is a topical lotion sunscreen containing zinc oxide, an inorganic UV filter that is commonly used in sun protection products to help block ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Zinc oxide functions as a broad-spectrum sunscreen ingredient, meaning it protects against both UVA and UVB rays. This product is marketed as an over-the-counter monograph drug, which means it is made and sold according to FDA's established rules for sunscreen products rather than being individually reviewed by the agency.
