Read the full MedlinePlus article ↗This is a topical patch containing salicylic acid, an over-the-counter monograph product marketed for wart removal. The patch is applied directly to the skin and functions as a keratolytic agent, meaning it typically works by softening and breaking down the outer layers of skin where warts form. Salicylic acid is commonly used in wart-removal products because of its ability to help dissolve the buildup of skin cells that make up a wart. This product is available without a prescription and follows FDA guidelines for nonprescription wart-removal treatments.
