Clinical
This is an over-the-counter lip balm marketed under FDA's monograph rules for sunscreen products. It contains three UV filters (avobenzone, octinoxate, and octisalate) that are typically used to absorb or scatter ultraviolet rays from the sun. The product is applied topically to the lips to provide sun protection in that area. Lip balms with these active ingredients are commonly used to help reduce sun exposure to delicate lip skin.
