Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical liquid containing salicylic acid, marketed under FDA's monograph rules for wart removers. Salicylic acid is commonly used in wart-removal products because it functions as a keratolytic agent, meaning it helps break down and soften the outer layer of skin. The liquid form is applied directly to the affected area. This product type is available without a prescription and follows established safety and effectiveness guidelines for nonprescription wart-removal medications.
