Esomeprazole sodium for injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), a type of acid-reducing medicine.
It is given through a vein for two uses.Short-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with erosive esophagitis (acid damage to the food pipe) in adults and children 1 month to 17 years old.
