Answer

Thanks so much for contacting us! Maty's Organic Goodnight Cough Syrup is considered safe to take with Tylenol (acetaminophen). There are no known interactions between the two.

What Is In Maty's Organic Goodnight Cough Syrup?

Matys Childrens Goodnight Cough Syrup

Maty's Organic Children’s Goodnight Cough Syrup contains the following ingredients:

  • Organic Honey
  • Organic Olive Oil
  • Organic Chamomile Tea
  • Sea Salt
  • Organic Cinnamon
  • Organic Lemon Peel
  • Organic Lemon Balm Extract
  • Organic Clove Oil
  • Organic Nutmeg
  • Organic Cayenne Pepper
  • Organic Marjoram

Now, it can be very difficult at times to definitively determine whether or not natural or herbal ingredients interact with prescription or over-the-counter drugs simply due to the lack of available data.

Nevertheless, looking into all of the ingredients in this cough syrup, it doesn't appear as though there is anything to be concerned with in regard to interactions with Tylenol (acetaminophen).

There is some evidence that nutmeg may slightly decrease Tylenol (acetaminophen) concentrations in some individuals due to how it affects certain metabolizing enzymes, but it isn't thought to be clinically significant.

I checked several different drug and herbal references for all of the different ingredients in these products, and again, there is nothing to suggest any interactions.

You can feel safe combining Maty's Organic Goodnight Cough Syrup with Tylenol.

Final Words

I wanted to thank you again for reaching out and I hope your child starts to feel better.
