1-epiandrosterone and Isosorbide Dinitrate

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Isosorbide Dinitrate and 1-epiandrosterone in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for 1-epiandrosterone at all — not against Isosorbide Dinitrate, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

“Isosorbide dinitrate (Isordil, Isoket) relaxes blood vessels to prevent and relieve angina, so a supplement that pushes that relaxation further, or works against it, is not a small thing, and this list of 22 warrants genuine care. About 1-epiandrosterone

What is 1-epiandrosterone?

1-epiandrosterone
  • Muscle building
  • Athletic performance
  • Improving body composition
  • Strength gains

1-epiandrosterone (often sold as a '1-andro' prohormone) is a steroid-related compound marketed to bodybuilders for muscle and strength gains, but solid human evidence is very limited and the safety profile is poorly understood. Because it can act like an anabolic steroid in the body and may carry liver, hormonal, and cardiovascular risks, most people should avoid it and talk to a pharmacist or doctor first.

Not a plant; a synthetic or lab-made steroid compound (prohormone) · Capsules, tablets, sometimes part of multi-ingredient bodybuilding 'prohormone' supplements

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether 1-epiandrosterone is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our 1-epiandrosterone record says about it on its own.

1-epiandrosterone: dosing

There is no established safe or effective dose for 1-epiandrosterone. Because these products can act like steroids and may carry real risks, do not assume "more is better." The safest choice for most people is to avoid it.

About Isosorbide

What Is Isosorbide Used For?

Brand names: Isordil, Angitak, Cedocard Retard, Isoket Retard, Isoket

Isosorbide is used to prevent angina pectoris — chest pain or tightness caused by coronary artery disease. Both isosorbide dinitrate tablets and isosorbide mononitrate tablets (including Monoket and Isordil) are used for this purpose.

Important: none of these oral formulations work fast enough to stop a chest pain episode that has already started. They are taken on a schedule to prevent angina, not to treat it in the moment.
