Ofatumumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Active Hexose Correlated Compound (ahcc) interacts with.

Theoretically, taking AHCC might decrease the effects of immunosuppressant drugs.
Data from human, animal, and in vitro studies suggests that AHCC stimulates immune function. Theoretically, this may counteract immunosuppressant drug activity.

Here's the thinking behind this one. Ofatumumab (Kesimpta) works by calming down part of your immune system to reduce MS relapses. It targets and lowers certain B-cells that drive nerve inflammation. AHCC, on the other hand, is promoted to rev up immune activity, things like natural killer cells and other immune players. So in theory, the two could pull in opposite directions, and AHCC might blunt some of the benefit you're getting from your MS treatment.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how each one works, not on real patient studies showing a problem. Ofatumumab isn't a prodrug, so nothing here changes how it's activated. Still, since your MS therapy matters a lot, please check with your neurologist or pharmacist before adding AHCC rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.

Brand name: Kesimpta

Kesimpta is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults. This includes clinically isolated syndrome (a first MS episode), relapsing-remitting MS (the most common form, with flares followed by recovery periods), and active secondary progressive MS (when the disease slowly worsens but still has active flares).

It is designed to reduce relapses and slow disease activity by targeting certain immune cells believed to drive MS damage.
