Theoretically, taking AHCC might decrease the effects of immunosuppressant drugs.
Data from human, animal, and in vitro studies suggests that AHCC stimulates immune function. Theoretically, this may counteract immunosuppressant drug activity.

Here's the thing with Litfulo (ritlecitinib): it's prescribed to calm down an overactive immune system, in this case to treat severe alopecia areata (patchy hair loss). It works by quieting certain immune signals so the body stops attacking your hair follicles. AHCC pulls in the opposite direction. It's promoted to stimulate immune cells like NK cells and T-cells.

So in theory, taking AHCC could work against what your medication is trying to do, possibly making it less effective and slowing your hair regrowth. I want to be honest, though: this concern is theoretical and based on how these things behave in the lab, not on real cases in people taking ritlecitinib. Still, since AHCC nudges the immune system, it's worth a quick chat with your prescriber or pharmacist before combining them.
