Data from human, animal, and in vitro studies suggests that AHCC stimulates immune function. Theoretically, this may counteract immunosuppressant drug activity.

Here's the thinking with Zilucoplan (Zilbrysq), which is an injectable medicine used for generalized myasthenia gravis. It works by quieting one specific part of your immune system (the complement pathway) to cut down on muscle weakness. AHCC, on the other hand, is believed to rev up immune activity. So in theory, these two could work against each other, and AHCC might blunt some of the benefit you're getting from Zilucoplan.

I want to be honest, though: this concern is theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in lab and general studies, not on real cases with Zilucoplan itself. Still, since letting your myasthenia symptoms slip (more weakness, trouble swallowing or breathing) is serious, please check with your neurologist or pharmacist before adding AHCC.
