Autogenic Training and Elotuzumab

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Elotuzumab and Autogenic Training in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Autogenic Training alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Autogenic Training at all — not against Elotuzumab, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Autogenic Training is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Elotuzumab page

“Elotuzumab (Empliciti) is an infusion for multiple myeloma, and every one of the 38 supplement interactions on file for it comes down to the same organ: the liver. Each ingredient here can stress or injure the liver on its own, and stacking that risk on top of cancer treatment deserves genuine care.”

About Autogenic Training

What is Autogenic Training?

  • Stress and tension
  • Anxiety
  • Trouble sleeping
  • High blood pressure
  • Headaches and chronic pain
  • Calming the body before stressful events

Autogenic training is a relaxation technique that uses self-directed phrases to create feelings of warmth, heaviness, and calm in the body. It is generally safe for most people and may help with stress, anxiety, and sleep, though the quality of research is mixed. It is best learned from a trained instructor and is not a replacement for medical treatment.

Not applicable (a mind-body relaxation technique, not a plant or supplement) · Guided audio recordings, classes with a trained therapist, self-practice scripts, smartphone apps

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Autogenic Training is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Autogenic Training record says about it on its own.

Autogenic Training: dosing

There is no pill or measured "dose" for autogenic training. Instead, it is about regular practice. Many programs suggest practicing for a few minutes, once or several times a day, building up gradually as the technique becomes more natural. It is often best to learn the steps from a trained therapist, a structured program, or a reputable guided recording or app. Follow the instructions provided with your program.
