No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Beta-alanine and Omalizumab in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Beta-alanine and Omalizumab

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Omalizumab and Beta-alanine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Beta-alanine at all — not against Omalizumab, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Beta-alanine safety at a glance

Beta-alanine overall Use caution Generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but it commonly causes harmless skin tingling and is not studied for long-term high doses.
Pregnancy Avoid There is not enough safety information, so it is best to avoid during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding Avoid There is not enough safety information, so it is best to avoid while breastfeeding.

Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.

What Beta-alanine Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Omalizumab. It is the side-effect record for Beta-alanine on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Beta-alanine, this list is the first place to look.

  • Flushing / Numbness or tingling Additional detail

“Orally, beta-alanine can cause a dose-dependent feeling of pins and needles (paresthesias) along with skin flushing. This generally starts on the scalp within 20 minutes of the dose, spreading to most of the body, and lasting for about an hour. This was described as severe at a dose of 40 mg/kg, tolerable at a dose of 20 mg/kg, and very mild at a dose of 10 mg/kg.”

Everything above comes from the Natural Medicines adverse-effect record for Beta-alanine — expand a row for the licensed statement it rests on. We read the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Omalizumab’s FDA label too, and the two lists don’t meaningfully overlap — which is why no Omalizumab column appears here.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Omalizumab page

“None of the 53 supplements on file for omalizumab (Xolair) carries a major rating, so this is a list to read with steady attention rather than alarm. About Beta-alanine

What is Beta-alanine?

  • Athletic performance and endurance
  • High-intensity exercise capacity
  • Reducing muscle fatigue
  • Building muscle carnosine levels

Beta-alanine is an amino acid taken mostly by athletes to raise muscle carnosine, which may help buffer acid and reduce fatigue during short, high-intensity exercise. The evidence is moderate for performance in certain activities, but harmless tingling of the skin is common, and it is not well studied for pregnancy or any medical condition.

Non-essential amino acid (made in the body and found in meat, poultry, and fish) · Capsules, tablets, powder, pre-workout blends, sustained-release tablets

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Beta-alanine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Beta-alanine record says about it on its own.

Beta-alanine: dosing

There is no official medical dose for beta-alanine, and the right amount depends on the product and your goals. Many supplements come as powders or capsules, sometimes as sustained-release tablets meant to reduce tingling.Beta-alanine usually needs to be taken consistently for several weeks before muscle carnosine builds up enough to matter — a single dose before a workout does not provide much benefit.

About Omalizumab Injection

What Is Omalizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Xolair

Xolair is used for several allergy-driven conditions. It treats moderate to severe persistent asthma in adults and children 6 and older whose symptoms aren't controlled by inhaled steroids alone and who test positive for a year-round airborne allergen. It is also used as an add-on maintenance treatment for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (ongoing sinus inflammation with polyp growths) in adults 18 and older who haven't responded well to nasal corticosteroids.

Xolair is also approved to reduce allergic reactions — including anaphylaxis — from accidental food exposure in adults and children aged 1 and older with IgE-mediated food allergy. It must be used alongside strict food avoidance, and it is not a substitute for emergency treatment like epinephrine. Finally, Xolair treats chronic spontaneous urticaria (persistent hives with no identified trigger) in adults and adolescents 12 and older who still have symptoms despite antihistamine treatment.
