No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Chervil and Rosuvastatin in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Chervil and Rosuvastatin

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Rosuvastatin and Chervil in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Chervil at all — not against Rosuvastatin, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Rosuvastatin’s Own FDA Label Lists

This is not an interaction — none of it involves Chervil. These are the most notable effects listed in the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Rosuvastatin’s own FDA label, for the medication by itself. Knowing the drug’s own list makes it easier to work out the likely cause if something new turns up while you take both. 10 of them are worth acting on rather than waiting out — marked below.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Rosuvastatin. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 223,851 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Rosuvastatin that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Chervil’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Chervil side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Chervil has no side effects.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Rosuvastatin page

“Rosuvastatin (Crestor, Ezallor) is a statin taken daily for years to lower cholesterol, and its supplement list deserves real scrutiny, not a quick skim. Five of the 63 ingredients on file carry a major rating, headed by grapefruit, which can raise statin blood levels, and by heavy drinking, since beer and wine compound the strain this…”

About Chervil

What is Chervil?

  • Digestive upset
  • Mild fluid retention (diuretic)
  • Skin and eye compresses (traditional)
  • Culinary seasoning
  • General 'spring tonic' or cleansing

Chervil is a delicate culinary herb in the carrot and parsley family that has long been used in folk medicine for digestion and as a mild diuretic. There is very little modern scientific research to confirm any health benefit, so it is best thought of as a flavorful food rather than a proven remedy. It is generally regarded as safe in food amounts, but concentrated supplements and the essential oil are not well studied.

Anthriscus cerefolium · Apiaceae · Leaves (fresh or dried) and aerial parts · Fresh or dried herb, tea (infusion), juice, and occasionally essential oil

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Chervil is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Chervil record says about it on its own.

Chervil: dosing

There is no established standardized medicinal dose for chervil. It is most commonly used in cooking, where the amount is small and considered safe.If you choose to use a chervil tea or supplement product, follow the directions on the label and do not exceed the recommended amount.

About Rosuvastatin

What Is Rosuvastatin Used For?

Brand names: Crestor, Ezallor

Rosuvastatin tablets are used alongside diet changes to lower LDL-C ("bad" cholesterol), total cholesterol, and triglycerides (blood fats), and to raise HDL-C ("good" cholesterol) in adults with high cholesterol or mixed cholesterol problems. They are also used in adults with very high triglycerides, a condition called primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (Type III, a genetic fat-metabolism disorder), and to slow the buildup of plaque in arteries (atherosclerosis).

In people without established heart disease but with multiple risk factors, rosuvastatin tablets can reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and procedures to open blocked arteries. For children and teens aged 8 and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH, an inherited high-cholesterol condition), the tablet form is used to lower LDL-C after diet alone has not worked. Crestor tablets are also approved to treat homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH, a more severe inherited form) in adults and in children aged 7 and older.
