Laboratory research shows that feverfew might inhibit CYP2D6. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

This cold and flu combo (Coricidin) has three ingredients, and one of them, dextromethorphan (the cough suppressant), is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Lab studies hint that feverfew might slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, dextromethorphan could build up a bit and you might feel more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than usual. The chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine) can add to that sleepy, dry-mouth feeling too.
Here's the reassuring part: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in people, so it's largely theoretical. For most healthy adults a short course is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you take feverfew daily for migraines, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist before pairing them.

Here's the situation with this combination cold product (which contains acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and dextromethorphan) and feverfew. In a test tube, feverfew appears to slow down a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. If that same effect happened in people, your body might clear these medicines a little slower, letting them build up. In real terms, that could mean a bit more drowsiness from the chlorpheniramine, or more dizziness and grogginess from the dextromethorphan.
The important thing to know: this has only been seen in lab studies, never reported in actual people. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you notice extra sleepiness or fuzzy-headedness when using both, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

Laboratory research shows that feverfew might inhibit CYP3A4. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

This Coricidin product combines three medicines, and one of them, dextromethorphan (the cough suppressant), is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In test-tube studies, feverfew has shown some ability to slow that enzyme down. If that were to happen in your body, dextromethorphan could build up a bit and cause more drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling spacey. The chlorpheniramine in this mix can already make you sleepy, so any added effect could stack up.
Here is the reassuring part: this is only laboratory data and has never actually been reported in people, so it is theoretical. None of these three ingredients is a prodrug, so feverfew would not weaken their effect. Still, if you take both regularly, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist.
